Thanks for Joining Us, Indy!

Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Indy. That is short for Indigo. Mom wanted some sort of name that described my blue eyes. My real dad was a pure-bred English Cream Golden Retriever, and my mom was half regular Golden Retriever and half Husky. I suppose that tells you where I got my blue eyes.

How old are you?

I’m 8 years old in human years. When I was just a pup of 8 weeks, my aunt Kari found me and sent a picture to my mom. Mom says it showed the cutest white puppy with blue eyes that she had ever seen. The caption on the text simply said, “Want one?” Mom quickly bought an airline ticket to California to pick me up at Aunt Kari’s house.

Do you have an area of expertise?

I love water sports. Being 75% Golden Retriever, I’m certain that does not surprise you. I enjoy swimming, chasing Quack Quacks deep out into the lake and riding in the kayak with my mom. On hot days when mom gets some time off from her real estate clients, we will go to the Deschutes River to hang out and play. In the Summertime, I play in my own pool. It’s just my size and blue like my eyes.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I also like taking walks around our neighborhood. Mom and I walk for about an hour and that includes off leash time at the LBA Park woods. Squirrels are plentiful on our walks. I dream one day I’ll get one of those.

I’m a happy dog owned by a real estate lady. She can come and go most days so I’m not home alone all the time. I get to go to work with her sometimes. She always takes me when she needs to walk vacant land alone. She will take me if she needs to travel far to show property. We fit in a walk or a stop at a lake after she is done with her clients.

I love to eat. I eat from my yard too. So many things are tasty in my yard. The blueberries seem to last a few weeks. There are strawberries too. Our grass is the freshest grass ever. Oh, and mom always plants these small orange tomatoes that totally taste like candy. I am also completely hooked on Chicken jerky from Costco. It stays on a shelf just out of my reach in the garage.

Thanks for taking time to tell us about your life with your mom, Carla!

I hope you have enjoyed learning about me. Maybe if you choose my mom to help you with your real estate needs, I will be lucky enough to meet you one day.

You don’t by chance have any Chicken jerky lying around do you?

This is my Mom, Carla.

On days off you can often find us taking walks, preferably near water.

Do you want my mom and I to visit you?
