Along the west side of Black Lake is the neighborhood of Evergreen Shores. Providing community lake-access, Evergreen Shores ranges from small homes for the first-time home-buyer to large custom lakefront homes with large lots.
Delphi is best known for its beginner-friendly 9-hole golf course in the foothills of the Capitol Forest. Developed in the ’70s and ’80s, roughly 100 ramblers and family homes line the forested par 32 golf course, providing a great place to live and play for all ages. Just outside the Delphi Golf Course is the Alpine Hills neighborhood, providing larger lots, newer homes, and views of the valley.
Recreational opportunities are endless in the nearby Capitol State Forest. At 110,000 acres, Capitol Forest is home to 150-miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, trail runners, dirt-bikers, ATV’s and ORV’s to utilize. With rivers, waterfalls, peaks, and summits, no matter the time of year it’s a beautiful place for adventure.

Just a short 20 minute drive into town is The Office Bar and Grill. Built in 1983 and they have been serving satisfied customers for 30 years. They offer a clean and comfortable bar with great casual dining with evening and weekend specials. For the sports fan they have seven TV’s and one ten foot screen. A great neighborhood spot located near the Delphi Community.
The Capitol State Forest is a 91,650-acre state forest in Thurston and Grays Harbor counties of the U.S. state of Washington. It includes part of the unusual Mima Mounds geologic feature. The Capitol State Forest is managed by Washington Department of Natural Resources.

The Mima Mounds Natural Area Preserve (NAP) was established in 1976 to protect rare examples of mima mound landforms and Puget prairie grasslands. The preserve includes some of the Washington mima mounds, the origin of which still is not fully understood.
A.G. West Black Hills High School is a secondary school in Tumwater, Washington serving grades 9–12 in Thurston County. A part of the Tumwater School District, BHHS serves approximately 1000 students each year.
