Perched atop a cluster of rolling hills just beyond Lacey’s city limits lies McAllister Park, a high-end large-lot community that was developed in the late ’90s by Virgil Adams Real Estate. With miles of sidewalks to stroll, many homes in the neighborhood feature views of the Olympic Mountain range and Mt. Rainier. The topography allows for unique and creative landscape design. With large lot sizes, many of the homes feature detached shops, large play areas, or inviting patios for outdoor entertainment.
Recreational activities in SE Lacey are endless, with many lowland lakes in the area. Love watersports? Head over to Long Lake or Lake St. Clair. Want to cast a line for some rainbows or brown trout? Hicks lake or Pattison lake should be on your weekend itinerary! The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife has up-to-date information on the nine lakes available for recreational fishing. Feeling a bit more sporty? Rainier Vista Community Park features a skate park, tennis & pickleball courts, and even multiple soccer, baseball, and softball fields. As part of the North Thurston School district, southeast Lacey lies primarily within the boundaries of Timberline High school. Lacey is also home to Saint Martin’s University, a Catholic Benedictine school established in 1895. Saint Martin’s features small class sizes, an NCAA Division 2 designation, and a beautiful and conveniently located campus with concentrations of study such as education, engineering, biology, business, and liberal arts, all guided by their Catholic, Benedictine values.
With a population of 42,400 people, Lacey is one of the fastest-growing areas in Thurston County. It’s proximity to I-5, access to various recreational activities, and diverse mix of homes and neighborhoods appeal to many in search of a place to land in Thurston County.
Meconi’s Italian Subs has been locally owned and operated since 1986. Wayne and Nancy Meconi moved their family from Pennsylvania to Lacey and they realized this area needed a good “East Coast Style” sub shop. In 1986, they opened the first Meconi’s Italian Subs in a small remodeled three car garage. It was an overnight success and has continued to grow! In the spring of 2013, the original Lacey store opened their new building right next to the original location.
Hops n Drops, “A Neighborhood Gathering Place,” was created as a safe, fun place for neighbors to meet neighbors and friends to gather with friends. “A Neighborhood Gathering Place” featuring hand formed 100% Angus Beef Burgers, Ice Cold Beer and Icy Drinks, served in a glass made of real ice! We are open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner and happy hour. We serve breakfast every Saturday & Sunday 8am-11am. Happy Hour is offered in our bar AND dining room everyday 2-6 & 9-close.
Farrelli’s Lacey is their first store, and the one that originally introduced wood fire pizza to the Puget Sound region! Most of our store managers began their career at the ground level of this store.
Since 1995, this store has been an active member of the Thurston county neighborhood, by hosting events such as the annual Farrelli’s Golf Classic to support local charities.

Long Lake is a freshwater lake located in Thurston County, Washington, United States. It is located approximately 5.5 miles east of Olympia. It consists of two basins connected by a narrow neck. It is two miles long and has two islands, Holmes Island and Kirby Island.
Rainier Vist Community Park is a 46-acre park is a high-activity site with soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball, walkways, picnic facilities, restrooms, and a local access skate park for the beginner and intermediate participant.

This downtown park is the site of numerous outdoor events throughout the summer, including the Lacey in Tune Concert Series, Children’s Entertainment Series, Outdoor Cinema Series, Children’s Day, Lacey S.T.E.M. Fair and Lighting of the Christmas Tree and Lighted Parade. It’s also a great picnic spot.
Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington is one of 14 Benedictine colleges and universities in the United States and Canada, and the only one west of the Rocky Mountains. Established in 1895 by monks of the Roman Catholic Order of Saint Benedict, our identity as a university is rooted in our Catholic, Benedictine tradition.
Timberline High School is a comprehensive public secondary school in Lacey, Washington. Opened in 1970 and part of North Thurston Public Schools, its school colors are green and gold and the mascot is a blazer. Timberline primarily receives students from Komachin Middle School.
